Lyrics

Don't talk about it
We're gettin good at coverin up
The truth about it
We can't sweep it under the rug
Heart's unsettled like a cloud of dust
Then the whiskey goes and does what it does

Go on and lie to me tonight
Tell me that this chevy bed
Was made for leaving someone
In a tail light gone
Lie to me tonight
Tell me that this radio is
Playing empty promises and
Heart break songs
We could end this in a minute if you want to
But maybe tonight you and I
We could steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around it

I pick you up
We run a tab for more than a buzz
Are we pretending that
There's a better ending for us
Then goodbye gets us second guessing
That feeling that were feeling always
Begs the question

Lie to me tonight
Tell me that this chevy bed
Was made for leaving someone
In a tail light gone
Lie to me tonight
Tell me that this radio is
Playing empty promises and
Heart break songs
We could end this in a minute if you want to
But maybe tonight you and I
We could steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around it
Steer around it oh

Then these tires turn back
To the cold hard fact
That there might be
More to you and I

Would ya
Lie to me tonight
Tell me that this chevy bed
Was made for leaving someone
In a tail light gone
Lie to me tonight
Tell me that this radio is
Playing empty promises and
Heart break songs
We could end this in a minute I don't want to
But maybe tonight you and I
We could steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around it
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around it
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around the truth
Lie to me tonight so I can
Steer around the truth
Steer around it oh you know
We'll steer around it
