Matt Ryan - Hometown Famous

Hometown Famous delivers upbeat, modern country rock straight from B.C.'s Okanagan Valley. Raised on a farm, Matt Ryan grew up immersed in country living, shaping the authentic sound he brings to every song.                                                                                 From an early age Matt played in bands throughout school and into adulthood, sparking a deep passion for songwriting, recording and performing. As a multi-instrumentalist on drums, bass and guitar, he developed a well-rounded musical style that blends raw energy with polished production. Matt went on to study at Metal Works Institute in Ontario, a step that led him to Nashville, where he honed his craft alongside industry icons Richard Dodd, Darryl Burgess and Bobby Huff. Experiences that sharpened both his songwriting and studio expertise, laying the foundation for his evolving sound.                                                                             With thousands of streams and radio play across previous releases under Matt Ryan, Diamond Steel and Maticulous, he now steps into an exciting new chapter. Teaming up with renowned producer and songwriter Jeff Johnson, Hometown Famous is set to release a highly anticipated debut album coming in 2026.
